Rachel Salay

MPA, MA

Rachel is a lifelong learner from Columbus, OH. With a background in nonprofits and education, she is drawn to the intersection of organizational development, culture, and change.  Rachel values humility, empathy, authenticity, and inclusivity.

​

Before moving to California, Rachel lived in Boston, Madrid, and Philadelphia. She worked for organizations including City Year, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Spanish Ministry of Education. She has traveled extensively throughout Latin America, North America, and Europe. Her experience working and learning in multicultural settings led her to pursue a graduate program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.

Rachel graduated in May 2021 (a semester ahead of schedule) with dual masters degrees in public administration and international education management, plus a specialization in evaluation and analytics.

​

Rachel earned her undergraduate degree in social work from ~The~ Ohio State University. She graduated with honors and a minor in Spanish. She is an AmeriCorps alum and currently serves on the Board of Directors for ACMP NorCal.

​

When she's not working, you can find Rachel in the woods, on the couch with a good book, or scouring the internet for A-frame homes and adoptable dogs. She currently lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains with her finacé, Will, and 80+ houseplants.
